I did a test this morning and one VERY faint pink line came up. So faint that I had to get my partner to check he could see it also which he could. As I only had one test I decided to buy another pack on the way to work from Boots but this second test did nothing to confirm if I was pregnant as a line didn't appear in the right window to confirm the test had worked. Just a horizontal line in the 'pregnant ' window appeared but according to the instructions if I was pregnant there should be a cross and not just one line. Am so confused - do you think I could be pregnant? I am due today so maybe I have tested too early? Any help appreciated!

Unfortunately I think you will need to go out & buy another test! You may well be pregnant. Because you are only testing on the day your period is due the level of pregnancy hormone in your body will be quite low so that is why the test line will have been very faint. Usually a faint positive line on a pregnancy test that comes up straight away and in the recommended reading time is still a positive. It is when you leave the test and look hours later when it may have developed a evaporation line that you are in danger of a false result. The second test definately sounds faulty. If no line appeared in the control window (which is to confirm test has been used correctly) then there is something wrong with it & you should egnore this result.
Buy another test and take it first thing tomorrow morning - buy first response or clear blue, they are more sensitive than boots brand. Good luck! If you get a neg result and still feel you may be pregnant go to your doctor. They can carry out a blood test which is much more sensitive than a home urine one & can detect pregnancy from shortly after conception. All the best x

If you saw a faint line the first time than you are probably pregnant. You may see a clearer result in a week or two. Make sure you take the test first thing in the morning because your pregnancy hormones are more apparent.

False postivives are VERY rare on a pregnancy test. I would consider the first test accurate but discount the second since the control line didn't come up.

You can try another brand of test if you wish or call your doc.

you may desire to look on the being pregnant assessments in the term the try calls for. Many will say "no longer valid after 5 minutes" or they are going to say "seem at after 3 minutes, yet no extra advantageous than 10" - so, the only you took and appeared at later in the day, that'd be an evaporation line. As for the different assessments, in case you appeared at them when you peed on them (in the time-physique) and it gave the impression to be a coloured faint line, then which potential you're pregnant. Did you're taking the try with the 1st morning urine? That works perfect. Take yet another try the following day or in simple terms wait till you permit out your era and then try. stable success!

I would say you have tested to early, but my girl friend got one from boots and it said she 100% pregnant. Which got me worried cos of her mother lol 2 weeks later i find out she was 3 weeks late so it does happen i dont trust them. If nothing happens i recommend going to the doctors where you can find out for sure and not have to use something that never realy works

It sounds like you are pregnant, but test again in 2 days time and you should get more of a definite result.

try using the new clear blue digital test, it's really good but a little bit expensive. Why don't you go to the doctors? It's free and if you are, they can start you on the 9 months of hell! lol xx

Go to your GP and have him/her do a blood test, you would have to do that anyway with a positive test to have a sure confirmation.
