Is it hard for transsexuals to have sex using their natural born genetalia?

For example, I am a FTM (female to male) transsexual. And I know many MTF's (male to females) that tend to be submissive sexually and not using their male genetalia. The FTM's that I know also tend to be "givers" rather than receiving penetration because it reminds them of their female genetalia. However, I still enjoy penetration, so does that mean something is wrong with me? Like maybe I'm not a "true" FTM because I still enjoy using my female genetalia during sexual encounters?

There's definitely nothing wrong with you. I know lots of FtM's who like penetration, and MtF's who like to penetrate and use what they've still got.

To me, it comes down to how to conceive of yourself. In one of my favorite books (Carol Queen's "The Leather Daddy and the Femme"), the protagonist comes home with a pre-op MtF for some casual lesbian sex, discovers her transsexual status, and then- awesome!- touches her, saying "Wow, that's a big clit you've got there, honey.". And from then on, that's how it was envisioned, you know? Part of female anatomy, just the way an FtM can be ashamed of still having a vagina that "makes them female", or can sort of 'reclaim' it as their own unique male orifice that makese them special and definitely gives them pleasure (if they like that).

I highly shun away from words like "true transsexual", because I doubt there is such a thing. They used to say that a true transsexual had to be straight post-transition; now we know that many pre-transition heterosexuals have gender dysphoria and come out post-op to be gay transmen and lesbian transwomen. The only thing that makes a "true transsexual" is if you feel you are the gender you are transitioning to, and however you dress, act, talk, have sex . . . they're all just you being an individual man or woman.

if you are starting transition and havent had bottom surgery i say use what you have if you enjoy penatration then that is normal there really is no norm or abnorm for what you like sexually its your preference. as you come along in your transition this may or may not change depending on how far you wish to take your transition. if you want the whole shabang be mindful that the new parts may not work to your full desire for sexual pleasure. i was married to an ftm he did not like penatration simply because of the reminder of the wrong genatalia so it was mostly strap on which was fine with me take your time with this and find out what is really going to make you happy were the surgeries are concerned and how important it is to you to have fully functioning body parts. i wish you love and support this never an easy position to go through in life but you will know when the time comes what you want take your time there is no rush.

It really depends on the person. For myself, I am Male to Female and would not use my genitals at all. There are some though who have no problem using it. As long as you are happy and enjoy what you are doing then nothing to worry about. There is no such thing as being a "true" transsexual or someone being more transsexual than someone else, it is about what you personally need to be happy with your body and who you are, it has nothing to do with other people, although comparing one anothers experience is helpful to not feel so alone.

Unfortunately I have a hard time getting that far with anyone, but I wouldn't mind using my current, male, equipment in the bedroom.

i don't think so at all. i use my naturals most of the time. in fact some of the best endearing events i've had have been reciprocal.

there's nothing wrong with u. remember this: normal is what works for u, and u only. if it works for u, have at it. don't worry about ANYTHING else!! life is all what u make it...
