Teenagers today are for the most part not responsible enough to raise a child. In centuries past, however, 30 years was old and children were married at 12 and 13 years and raised their children just fine. So, I suppose I feel that the problem doesn't JUST lie with teen pregnancy, it lies with parents as well in what we teach our children. Parenting for several generations was abotu CONTROLLING our children. That is nothing liek what it should be, a parents job is to raise a child to be an honest, successful member of society. If our children were taught to be responsible from a young age then no teenage pregnancy would not be a problem.
On teh other side of it though, is that fact that children today have SO much more to learn just in grade schools than EVER before. It is almost impossible to accomplish this and be a parent. If a teen becomes pregnant, MOST of teh time their education suffers, which in turn leads to less opportunity for the children. It's just a cycle that will continue to get worse with every new generation.
The best solution I see is to do everythign possible to do whatever is necessary to continue the education of even ONE generation of young parents, it might at least make a dent in this if they can still provide a future for their own families.
