A lot of people with Persian or Hymalian type cats will give them a "lion" cut to keep cooler in the summer. Some people do it to cut the shedding (which it doesn't) which I don't think is right. If you didn't want to deal with the hair you shouldn't have got a long haired breed. Like every one else said you can't really get the true poodle look because they don't have curly coats and in general it's not a look you should do because you think it's "cute" or unusual that's not really fair to the cat.

Possibly a domestic long hair cat that has had it's hair cut poodle style. There's a long haired dog, that the hair is clipped to resemble a horse's mane and tail.

I know nothing about giving a cat a curly perm!

A curly haired cat is a 'Rex' type of cat. However, curly hair is a recessive gene and will not necessarily carry to the next generation. Some of them are exceptionally curly haired and are sought-after kitties because of their unique coats. I understand they are hard cats to find.

No because cats have straight hair. You'll need tight curls for that. You can "poodleize" a lamb or a sheep, but not a cat.

Only a pretend toy cat. Animals are not for messing with. Have some respect.
