No. an inventor is somebody who invents something, usually some kind of practical application or process to use scientific principle and do something. You can be a very competent scientist without ever filing for patent. Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking are scientist, even great discoverers, but not inventors.
Edison was not much of a scientist, but he was a prolific inventor.

No inventor and scientist are not the same. Just because you have great ideas for new things doesnt mean you are a scientist.

no, although they are often closelylinked, if you invent a new route to work that doesn't make you a scientist adn if you study chemisty but never discover anything new, you haven't invented anything
