I just got off the depo-provera shot about 2 or 3 months ago. And all I wanna do is eat and sleep. I have allot off stomach problems. I don't know any other way to explain this but sometimes it feels like a bubble popping in the lower part of my my stomach what could that be from. I didn't gain weight from the shot like most people do.

I came off the depo in Oct. (my shot was on the 15.08.2006) I only had one dose. I suffered extremely stomach discomfort since stopping, I guess its part of the process.

I bled for 11ish weeks out of the 12 the shot lasted for. 4 weeks at the start of the cycle, 5 at the end, and a further 2 before I went to the doc. Didnt bleed (only very light spotting) untill last week, been averagely bleeding for 7 days, so not sure weither to class this as a period? We would dearly love to have a child (we're childless at the mo) I take folic acid, and was wondering if something like ovulex would help me system get back to normal quicker?

I have answered the Q and the person above, anyone care to answer me?

I would see the doc to be sure everything is ok but most likely it is side effects from the shot. The shot can leave you will nasty nasty effects that can take months to years to get rid of. See your doc to be on the safe side though. My question is why would anyone subject their body to this when the side effects while on it and the after affects are so debilitating that some women can't even work or maintain a house because of the drugs effects.

I was on the shot also, I don't have an answer to your question, but I do have a question to ask you. I stopped the shot in Oct. 2006 and still have not had a menstrual cycle did this happen to you?

Erm......it sounds like period pains, if your depo injection caused your periods to stop, then eventually they will come back, during and before this then you'll get period pains again.

I did this and didn't remember how much of a pain in the butt they were.
