I totally support a third party candidate. I also think that it might be better if third parties would unite and form a coalition but I'd prefer having the Libertarians and Constitutionalists run a unity ticket (with 1 Libertarian and 1 Constitutionalist). Other parties like the Greens and Socialists can do the same thing and so can many others. We need to unite and fight the duopoly and show that the 08 election isn't over, far from it it's just beginning! Thanks!

I'm a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. As a result, I've endured a lifetime of abusive taxation with no political representation. I think it's asinine to imagine that the complexities of the modern world can be reduced to a black and white choice between party platforms. If America is going to respond intelligently to the challenges of the future, we need to become a true pluralistic democracy. The surest way to do this is to eliminate the electoral college, which is the Constitutional mechanism that creates the present false dichotomy. The citizens of Russia managed to overthrow the corrupt Communist Party and restore their democracy. The citizens of the United States will, one way or another, overthrow the corrupt Democratic and Republican Parties, which have sold us out to corporate interests, and the religious right. Democracies only work when they represent the best interests of their individual human citizens, and no one else!

Heck ya! I'm all for you, but where's our Ross Perot or Walt Brown? I'd really like someone with the guts to take on the Corporate bigwigs on their own turf, and kick their butts to high heaven, hehe! Okay, seriously know? I think what we need is a grand coalition of America's third parties. Sure, it'd be a clunker, but we're sorta brothers in arms against corrupt and inefficient government, right?
It's the only way short of a revolution that we'll get the votes needed for political power and representation, and with it, hopefully a shift to a non two-party system. Anyhow, who do you favor? I heard Giullisepe(I hope I spelled that right)'s running on the Lib ticket, not sure 'bout the rest, yet...

I agree. This two party system has failed us. We elect them and the party, the whip and the caucus controls them. There are good people in both parties but they need to stand on their own two feet, vote their true conscious, learn to defy the powers that manipulate them, quit changing votes in order to do favors for each other. We need representatives that will quit the infighting, childish bickering, childish politicing, get rid of the bad apples.
As long as we are 'one issue' voters our candidates will say whatever tickles our ears and then forget how they got where they are.

....Like who? Haven't seen one qualified other than maybe Joe Lieberman, who the Democrats have turned against. And how well do suppose he would be received by the Muslim world, radical or not?
Mitt Romney still looks like the most intelligent and most experienced of the bunch.
John Edwards has managed to shoot himself in the foot with his bigotry.
