Al "Big Foot" Gore.

It kind of has a nice ring to it!

Nice try Smorgen, but your "source" leaves out some very important points.

First, the Gore's have only been purchasing "green energy credits" at a rate of $4.00/unit/month from the utility since November, 2006.

Second, the Gore's are presently "remodeling" their home to accomodate solar panels.

I thought Al had been eco-friendly for over three decades!

I think we'll stick with "Big Foot". You know what they say, "If the shoe fits..."

OMG!!!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

I usually don't appreciate questions (or answers for that matter) that just ask for others to bash or ridicule...but I have gotta say, this question is absolutely priceless.

And yes, I think that he should be referred to as "Big Foot". The term couldn't discredit him any more that how his own actions have!

schmorgen, how does that equal myth busted? Gore is paying other people to make up for his excesses in energy consumption. He is the one beating the drum the loudest, telling all of us that we need to take drastic measures now or the world will be destroyed and his steps to help are

1) Buy energy credits to offset his excesses. He is paying somebody else so he doesn't have to cut down on his usage. Great example
2) He is now buying "Green Power". That's great but in an AP story the writer states that they began this 3 months ago. Why 3 months ago instead of several years ago. Maybe it had something to do with his little Mockumentary being nominated for some awards and the bright lights were going to get pointed his way.
3) He is installing solar panels to help with his power usage. Once again, why now? Solar technology is not new. Quit pointing at these so called steps as honest attempts to reduce his "Carbon Footprint" (God I hate that term) and more for what they really are. Insults to the intelligence of any thinking human being out there. His hypocrisy is boundless and there are a lot of you out there that need to be honest with yourselves and wake up.

I like that...I also like the new term,,," carbon footprint" wouldn't Webster be proud??? I have carbon build up in the exhust pipe of my John Deere tractor. Wonder if that will affect the outcome of the 02 ozone redundance factor of this years Q4567E, air quality and emissions report ???? I hope not. I would hate to be accused of using more than I need. Why don't all you repubs get on with your lives and not worry about how much power Al Gore Head uses??? Gee Whiz, it's getting really funny out there now.

No you've got it wrong. He's reduced his footprint by the enviornmental sacrifces he expects YOU to be making. He can waste all he wants, then go plant some trees or install solar panels on his pool house to make up for it.

So Al currently has a "small" footprint...and you know what they say about that.
