Hey all.. i've just got sims2 and thought why not buy sims2 pets as well! so i've got them both home put them on my pc and its ever so slow .. takes ages to load up so i was like fine maybe its because its new! well when i get to the neighbourhood screen the arrow is moving quite slowly .. so i go to make a family (taking ages to load) it looks fine apart from the wall behind the person im making is flashing black and red :S i know thats not right from playing on a friends i know its meant to be brick effect.. thenh when i get closer to making the person its quite blurred and doesnt look right .. wat the hell is going on people? plz help me i love this game wat do i need to do to my computer to make it better so i can play the game.. keeping in mind that the game cost me bowt £40 together i dont want to have to spend hundreds just to get them to work lol if you need any more details i'll try and give them when u request.. thankyou sooo much! = )

Check your computer I don't think it meets the requirements for Sims 2 and Pets, The red flashing and blurriness is the video card but sounds like you need more ram at least 1 gig I recommend 2 gigs. You could try shutting down everything running in the background ie messenger, screen savers etc to see if the game will run faster but my thoughts are more ram and new video card or a faster computer.

It may be that you don't have enough Ram to run the game properly. The sims 2 will run slowly on most computers. Why don't you try downloading the pets patch from the sims exchange. It won't help with the speed but it may fix other problems you are having.

Umm im guessing that you have a very slow computer. I have an ok computer amd sims 2 works fine. Check what sytem speed on teh computer you have. go to control panel, select system, and it will show how fast your computer. If it is about 1.8Ghz, then Sims 2 should work fine. If it's like 1.5Ghz, then it will run just like you said.

not enough memory to hold both games
choose one to keep on the pc and uninstall the other game

lol! it happend to me too! your comp must have enough memory to do all the graphics requirements of the game.

the same thing happened to me it's because you don't hav engough memory nd dats y its slow :(
