Absolutely not. Our Right and Left are the two rails of the same track that will carry us into total loss of sovereignty, and destruction of our Constitution. A third party would provide an alternative to our inevitable demise. We can't have that, now, can we?

Probably. Republicans and Democrats used to be "the underdog third-party." It's all just a cycle, and a new team will grab the spotlight eventually.

Currently however, there is legislation that allocates campaign funding almost exclusively to The Big Two, so it might take awhile for social change on the level that you're talking.

I'd love to see it because i don't think either of the big two really have this nations best interests at heart..
Unfortunately i don't see a viable third party ever gaining any ground in my lifetime.

Yes, though it will be a while. And I think it would affect both parties: Democrats who don't feel their party is sufficiently to the left and Republicans who don't feel their party is sufficiently to the right alike will probably become alienated from their respective parties at some point. But so far I'd say they've both successfully avoided having to deal with major splinter groups.

It's unlikely. It's far easier for people to make black and white decisions - a third party would make it far too confusing for them.

No, cause 3rd parties offer no real change. The only thing they ever say is WE'LL CLEAN UP THIS MESS. and offer not real solutions.
