What did everyone think about the comment made by Antonella about Jennifer Hudson? And Simon made a crack that America voted her off and not him. Well..in my opinion, if Simon hadn't made that comment, Jennifer would have gone on to win or at least be in the top 10....But Jennifer won the Oscar, so there is Pie in Simon's face.

Antonella said something about Simon not liking the way that Jennifer Hudson sang, he voted her off and that she went on to win the Oscar and that Antonella would take Paula's advice. He responded that he didn't vote her off, that America did.

Here is a clue.
Simon has already told the public that the primary determinent to winning American Idol is that you are born in the South.
Jennifer Hudson is from Chicago, Illinois. That is why she lost. Most of the votes come from Cingular subscribers the vast majority of which are in the South. They vote and Northerners lose.
Kelly Clarkson - Fort Worth, Texas
Ruben Studdard - Birmingham, Alabama
Fantasia Barino - High Point, North Carolina
Carrie Underwood - Checotah, Oklahoma
Taylor Hicks - Birmingham, Alabama
The year Hudson was voted out she lost to Barino, DeGarmo (Alabama), Trias (Hawaii), London (San Fransisco), Huff (Louisiana), and Stevens (Buffalo). Stevens had the old vote. Huff and Degarmo split the South vote. Trias had the Hawiaan and Asian vote. London had the East vote. And Barino had the "I sassed Simon vote to add to the Black vote and the South vote." Hudson lost because all she had was the Black vote and that was divided between her, Barino and London, and London was a better singer and Barino sassed Simon.
Simon has told the people that they need to avoid being forgettable. Hudson forgot that and so she lost.
As for Barba, she sassed Simon. That alone may get her votes but she is from the North so it really doesn't matter.
Most of the girls stunk last night trying to sing like Whitney Houston when they haven't the range to hit those notes. Randy called them pitchy. The truth is they were all flat. They sang under the notes and it came off as good but not great.
The most surpising performance came from 17 year old Jordin. She was the only one who came close to singing like herself. She wasn't the best but she was the most improved.
But stop picking on Simon.
An Oscar is an Acting award
Clarkson, Barino, and Underwood all have Grammies, American Music Awards and Country Music Awards to their credit.
And as I remember it, Simon told Hudson that she seemed a little too broadway, and low and behold he was right. She made it in a broadway musical. But, how many broadway singers top the charts? This is American Idol and not "You're the one that I want".

In my opinion, Simon is usually right with his remarks.... Antonella just isn't an incredible singer...... she is very pretty and has an okay voice....... she isn't anywhere as good as some of the other girls in the competition. Does anyone else notice that Paula never has anything constructive to say? And if I hear one more "DAWG" I think I may hurle!!!!!! I love Simon, and he usualy right about the singers.......America did vote Jennifer off because she wasn't as good......Jennifer won an OSCAR, NOT A GRAMMY....... there is a difference.

I agree with the Kitty pryde poster.. Antonella should of never said that.. I've heard Jennifer Hudson on the radio with "Dreamgirls" stuff and she is way better than Antonella.. Antonella doesn't even compare.. She needs to go..

Jennifer Hudson was an egotisical, stuck up, snob who believed she was better than everyone else. Which was never true. It is all in her head. Simon is the only person on that show willing to tell the truth. Paula kisses everyone's butt. Randy just tries to be
cool. Jennifer Hudson is lucky to be working anywhere. She is highly overrated. America kicked off Jennifer Hudson, not Simon. Remember, people hate Simon so why would they listen to him???? Think about that.

Antonella sucks and just needs to keep her mouth shut cause honestly she does not deserve to move further in the competition. She actually didn't need to make it this far. And she seems rude too cause when Randy was talking about her performance she rolled her eyes! She needs to leave!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree. Simon got it right on this one. The judges and voters don't alway see contestants the same way. Besides, voting as many times as you like (or can), makes no sense.

i admire their accents :D notably little babies!!! its between the justifications beside the solid universities that i desire to go there, i desire my babies to have that accessory :) additionally, i admire their vocabulary and the folk I even have met from Britain so a ways have been extremely astounding :) i'm in basic terms jealous that they get to drink 3 years till now us, and that they have got various the main fittest extensive-unfold chaps (1D, the Harries twins, Marcus Butler and greater).
