Become friends with him, learn about him and then decide.

I agree with Wes G ditch them both and find someone with a clean background. You can do better then that get away from the b-friend in jail he is not a possitive influence and I don't care that someone may say he is reformed, over half of incarcerated criminals revert back to there old ways. Second, for the other guy that has a complicated life, just don't even bother. Many men out there, find some one that has more then one or two braincells.
If you choose any of them I guarantee you will be the person in three months asking if it is okay that your man..... get my point!

You are a magnet for bums... and you just found out there's more than one kind. I suggest you refine your search, and go for something totally different. Complicated situations only bring more stress to your life, anger and whatever to others, and in the end, you'll realize it wasn't worth it. In the end your health will be affected by this, really! Think about what consequences this might have, and then proceed if you want to accept them. Some things aren't worth it, you know? In your quest for real lasting love, how many times you are willing to break hearts and/or break your own. You won't have much to give after a while, and that's sad. I'd say break up with both and live wisely.

can u provide more details...its hard to see which is better..the guy jailed or the complicated guy? Neway..i suggest..u follow your heart..but with a bit of mind thinking as well. Dun end up in a relationship that is dangerous...or that which u might regret later on in life..or in relationship that had no future....so...put ur heart n mind together...n make a good choice. All d best. :)

How often do you get to visit your b-friend? If he is close by and you have been able to visit on a regular basis,4X/mo, 1X/mo.? Anything less than that in my opinion opens the door to "It could happen" since"It's been so long since we were together." How strongly do you feel for your b-friend? How soon will he be out? If you really love him and he has less than a year, overlook the newest flavor. If the b-friend has more than a year,"explain" how it is to him.

well...seeing as ur bf has been in jail for 2 years its kinda a messy relationship, dont u think? i think u should tell ur bf that he is in jail and u cant take the lonelyness anymore....and u cant tell ur kids "oh yea, daddy was in jail for a little while when we were dating"....so i think u should break up with ur bf...HES IN JAIL!...and then u can hang out with this other guy u like...and maby eventually he will ask u out...!!!

I say follow your heart, if you think your current boyfriend will not make a good father or role model for your children, then it may be time to move on and find someone who can take care of you and possibly a family if that is what you choose to have.

You should ditch them both and find someone that isn't a loser.
