A bottle of clorox fall in the back of the car. I rinse with lots of water. Next time. Whats is the best procedure? What can you pour on to block the powerful whithening effect of bleach right away?
Bleach is BASE, so I assume ACID, but what?...vinager?

If you rinsed with a lot of water, as in flooded it , that is all I would recommend.

Is the carpet white now??? If not you may have Nylon carpeting. It doesn't have much effect on nylon carpeting.

My laundry is in the hallway of my home. Some time ago a gallon of bleach vibrated off the washer and dumped on the nylon carpeting in the hallway. It removed no color at all. I couldn't even tell where it fell.

But if your carpeting is white or light now it is probably polyester.

I apologize for not having a good solution. Good Luck....
