sellers on eBay are reporting errors on the new dollar coins. The biggest one being the edge lettering not being on certain coins. Is this a true error?

The edge letting on coins meant to circulate can be anywhere on the coins edge, as well as upside down or missing. This is do to the system the mints use. The system for the proofs and maybe the mint sets, is different and the above can not happen. In other words, the mint needs to get the coins out fast and they came up with a fast system, but not an exact system and don't care if things are not the same on all the dollars edges. Always beware of EBay and the so called power sellers as well as error items. There are more counterfeit coin on there, than most people know. Even Tiffany's in NY said, a lot of their items on it are counterfeits and as last I know are suing EBay. A few coin groups are not to happy either. I have not seen any articles in Numismatic News or Coin World on the subject and I just got next weeks issues.
