If I walked into your house and shot your spouse in the head, would you accept the following as an explanation:
"Well, I killed him/her here so he/she wouldn't kill me out on the street."
If not, how do you justify the "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here" philosophy?

Aztec: if I genuinely believe your spouse is plotting to kill me, the analogy is strong.
Would you accept the explanation?

10mm: the war in Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11. Bush has said that many times.

You can be sure that if that happened, they would be out for blood. By the way, since Osama bin Laden is the main one responsible for the deaths of over 3,000 people on 9-11-01, why isn't anyone hellbent on getting his head on a stick?

You logic is very flawed.
You are describing a terroristic act "...walked into your house and shot your spouse in the head..." as being the same as American troops fighting Islamic Fascists in Iraq and other places.
You posit that a terrorist killed in Iraq is the same as you killing my spouse in my home.
"A" = "A" = "A" = "A" = Everything is the same as everything else = Insanity.
Now, if I had direct observational evidence that YOUR spouse was engaged in terroristic activities, I would alert the authorities and hope they would do the job for me. But if I see YOUR spouse trying to light the fuse to a stick of dynamite in your front yard while my kids played in my yard next door, I might just put a bullet in YOUR spouse's head and let the courts figure out the fallout after the fact.
Now that would be my fighting terror "over there" in your yard so I don't have to fight terror "over here" in my yard.
I already know that you are "logically impaired" but can you try very hard to see the difference there? Hmmm, didn't think so.

That could be the most flawed analogy I have ever heard. First, the people we are fighting in Iraq are terrorists not people just sitting around not harming anyone. Now if you knew I was planning on killing you would you wait for me to try, or would you get me first? The term you used "walked in and shot {my} spouse in the head" is exactly what the terrorist did, unless you forgot 9-11 and apparently according to you we should just sit back and take it. And I'm sorry how many terrorist attacks have there been on American soil since 9-11, none. In 2001 if anyone said that there would be not one attack on our soil for 6 year people would think you're nuts.

Helllloooo people... Iraq did not attack us on 9/11 - Osama Bin Laden did. There were no WMDs found ANYWHERE in the country of Iraq. Now, I'm not saying that Saddam was not a horrible monster and Didn't need to be taken out of power, but not the way it was done. This war is about greed and control. Please do a little reading before opining.

How do you excuse your miserable existance? The terrorists announced to the world that they want all Americans dead. My spouse made no such announcement about you or your countrymen. You should decide who you are and fly your own flag. Leave my spouse and I out of your stupidity. I am not pro-war but I am really anti-terrorist.

Your analogy is lacking in several areas. Plus the here/there argument is used in others of your posts and has already been drilled with so many holes it looks like swiss cheese. When you get to civics, world affairs classes you can learn how and why things happened like they did. Unless of course you are a public school student, then you will learn that nonwhites are gods, whites are the devil and we are all winners.

Your example is poor at best...Shooting someones spouse for no reason is murder not prevention.
We fight the terrorist over there because if we don't , they will come here. I think 9/11 is proof of that or have you forgotten?.
