I want the exact value. In the table minutes are not given. I know to convert that into degrees .but that will not work with tables.

Convert it to decimals and use a calculator
60''=1'
37''=37/60=0.617 ' ( At one point you must round up)
13.617' are 13.617/60 deg=0.227 deg So you have 270.227 deg
tan = -2.525*10^2 and cot = -0.0040
2) = -cot48*15'10''

1) ask your teacher about what is allowed!

This is very close to 270° = 3pi/2 so you should be able to approximate it.

2) This is in the second quadrant. The corresponding angle in the first quadrant is 180 - 138° 15' 10'' = 41°44'50". The sine will change signs so the cotg will also.

Answer: - cot 41°44'50".
