The only one I can think of is the "World of Sport March" which was by the "Don Harper Big Band"

Are you sure it was ITV?

The BBC certainly covered it and their theme tune was 'Mexico Grande' which was recorded by the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and released on the Fontana label. The Squad's contribution was 'Back Home' and reached number one in May of 1970.
