Ok I got a tattoo on my cafe on Sunday, and Its still really red and really sore!!! is this normal? Do i need to go to the doctor!!!! Everyone keeps telling me that since I got my outline and my shading and color the same day that its gonna still be sore plus with were its at the blood flow through there is really weird!!!! do you think everything is ok? I think the color is coming out of it everytime i plus A&D ointment on it?!?!? is that normal!!! Sorry, but this is my first tat and im worried!@!!

its okay it will take like a week to heal. if it is still like that after two weeks then go to the doctor. just wait itll be okay. i got one on my calf and it did the same thing for a WEEK. hang in there youre not going to die.

Why are you using A&D ointment? You're tatoo isn't diaper rash. Use triple antibiotic ointment. Ask someone at the pharmacy if you can't find it. Wear pants that are loose in the calf, and don't cover the tatoo with your sock.

You skin is most likely irritated. Make sure you went to a place that is clean / deccent AND be sure they used clean new needles when they did it.
If it stays that way for about 8-9 days than I'd go see a doctor about it.

are you keeping bacitracin on it? don't let it dry out and don't pick at it (the color will come out) some ointments will pull out the color, but keep in mind it will not stay as bright as the day you got it
