When they quit taking up valuable oxygen and electricity, thinking up and posting this moronic socialistic nonsense. If you TRULY believe that humans are capable of such a tragic impact on the environment, then lessen that impact. Take yourself out of the equation.

I am doing my part. I wash clothes in cold water, cut down on my dryer usage, use paper bags, recycle, etc.
I don't need some sore loser hypocrite who made a sci-fi movie, along with his bamboozled followers, tossing some psychobabble at me about reducing my "carbon footprint." This all translates into a bunch of elitists who expect us to sacrifice so they can waste all they want, then they go plant some trees to make up for it.
You want to talk about greenhouse gasses? Did you know human beings are only responsible for 4% of the CO2 released in the atmosphere? Mt. St. Helens is reponsible for more pollution than humans have ever made. I am not condoning pollution. Human pollution makes me sad and we do need to be more responsible. I am also not denying global warming, but i am very skeptical that it is totally man-made, and even more skeptical now that it has been politicized.

Actually when will all the Global Warming scientist say they actually have no clue what their talking about. Since the wheat her is so unpredictable because of the moisture in the air no scientist can say one way or the other. So stop blaming American, there are a lot of other countries to this day that are polluting the air quality. At least America has taken the steps to clean the air we breath but has nothing to do with as you say Global Warming or was it the new ICE AGE.

OKay, look at the science... it is getting warmer but becuase this is what the earth does. Remember hearing about the Ice Age in 3rg grade? Well it got WARMER before it froze. Have you ever seen The Day After Tomorrow? Well, although that's a SciFi movie and seni-unrealistic that's sort of what's going to happen. It will get hot and then freeze. YAY! Winter forever!
anyway... as for shooting the messenger. How can you explain a a $30000 MONTHY utility bill. Guess who hasn't beenm turning off his lights.

About the same time that the sky is falling crowd address the fact that there is nothing that can be done about climate change, that the minuscule amount of greenhouse gases produced by man have no effect on the global climate, and that no international treaty will change the temperature of the sun. Climate change is of course real, learn to live with it. Where I stand today was once covered by glaciers that were miles thick and it is a sure bet that it wasn't Fred Flintstone driving his Tahoe that made them go away

I love the argument that emission, polluted waterways, overflowing land fills are all junk science.
The fact of the matter is hat we are having a detrimental effect on our earth, global warming aside we are mass consumers and mass polluters, we are depleting the world of its resources and tossing our waste everywhere.
Here is what we do know.
Landfills are overflowing, we throw away toxic chemicals, and non biodegradable goods everyday that pollute our ground water, which leaches into our waterways. Which evaporates and creates rain, very polluted toxic rain that spends all over everything. Not to mention that we have to pump the water full of even more chemicals to make it consumable.
WE drive out cars, burn fuel for heat, energy and our day to day concerns. This not only releases CO2 but Benzocarbons, which are carcinogenic. There has been a marked increase in recent years of cancer, COPD and asthma.
The life expectancy is getting shorter due to not only obesity but the increase in chronic ailment.
The earth gives us what we need to live, food, water and clean air. Why they hell would we want to compromise that. We may not kill ourselves, but we will certainly make things more difficult for future generations.

Addressing the actual issue is harder. It's easier to make fun of Gore's weight. It requires less thought.

being a logger for 10 years of my younger days, i know that young trees growing produce more oxygen and eat up more co2 than the environmentalists would like us to find out about...an old growth tree actually produces more co2 into the atmosphere once it hits the tipping point than it did while in its oxygen producing stages..so actually, the people who dont want old growth trees cut down are doing it for selfish reasons rather than scientific reasons...they think because a tree is large, it symbo;lizes something...actually, its just like a fat, overgrown large person..it symbolizes the stage in its life where it takes in more than it produces...thereby making it a drag on the environment rather than a help to it...

Yes, I address green houses a couple times a day. More, if I eat too much fibre.
