no. urine and blood tests both detect the HCG hormone in your body. your body only produces it when you are pregnant. if it's not there, it's not there.

Usually the blood test is the end all of pregnancy tests, however, there's ALWAYS a small chance it's wrong. However, it doesn't sound likely since you're 10 days late. If you were only a day or two late, then it would be different.

I would discuss this with your doctor. Did you tell him/her your concerns and all your symptoms? Are you on BC? Are you unusually stressed? Stress can prolong a period.

Also, sometimes you're just late, and can get yourself so worked up, you'll develop psychosematic symptoms.

However, you need to talk more with your doctor, and ask about the accuracy of the blood test.

Yes a blood test can be wrong, especially if it was done early in the pregnancy wehn there wanst enough hcg (pregnancy hormone) built up in your system to detect.. I have read lots of stories of women who had this happen..
So, I am afraid that most of the replies here are wrong.

If you were pregnant the blood test would show, thats for sure, they even show eptopic pregnancies that release much less of the hormone, so this result is accurate. Perhaps your body is tricking you into thinking your pregnant, if your desperatley waiting for it to happen. Try relaxing, forget about it, plan nights or days out. Luagh, joke about and be happy. It will happen.

Blood test are generally not wrong, but it could be that your not showing large amounts of the HCG pregnancy hormone.

I would have thought that the test is right and your not pregnant, sorry.

YES! my friend had a positive preg test, she went to docs who gave her a blood test which said NEG, she had all signs of pregnancy so went back to doc, who then gave her a scan, and turns out she was pregnant. Doctors can be wrong!

Also i had another friend who got her blood tests results mixed up by doctor, they told her she wasn't pregnant when she was, if your concerned ask for another blood test!

i cant see how urine and blood tests can all be neg at 10 days late and you still be pregnant. sometimes stress, weight gain or loss can all effect your periods. try to stay calm and things will happen for you soon. My husband and i have been trying to conceive for 6 months and i have just found out I'm pregnant with our 2nd child. i conceived our first straight away so it proves that its never plain sailing. good luck and baby dust to you xxx

Too soon to tell yet. You may be self reacting physically to the thought of it. They do make mistakes at the labs.

As always:
Best to go to your doctor again and explain the circumstances of being 10 days late.

Don't take chances with your body, you need it for a baby.

Good Luck to you both and God Bless

No, there is no way that both a urine and a blood test could be wrong. You are not pregnant.

no it isn't wrong. you aren't pregnant. slot of the signs for pregnancy are also for your period. maybe that is what is going on. i am sorry if you wanted to be pregnanyt. believe me i understand. but stressing out and worrying about it only makes it worse. and it can make you miss periods making it all the more confusing. good luck.
