Now that is rich!
An Englishman making fun of another countries diet!!!
As a rule, the world knows the last great music to come out of England was the Beatles... well maybe the Clash. Certainly not any food or fashion! Any ideas.

What kind of ignorant fool are you? Americans love salad. I make huge salads at least four times a week. We have restaurants with huge salad bars, and a restaurant chain that sells nothing BUT salads. I've been to your backward country, where your overtaxed population still supports your usless monarchy, and have eaten the rather tasteless boiled crap you choose to call food. And you English seem to think that the only ingredients to be put into a salad are wilted lettuce and cucumbers. And that stuff you call "salad cream" that you smother your salads with tastes like sh*it!! Any American made salad has what you English call salad, beat all to hell.
So before you insult America, you need to take a big step back, and give your own cultural culinary calander a closer look. AND if you are by chance IN America... GO HOME!!

We eat them at home but we are not on camera for you to see.
Spinach salads were a favorite until Ecoli had most of it pulled from the shelves in 50 states.
We have what is called the Santa Fe with grilled chicken and corn salsa over greens. Also crab and shrimp over greens with grape tomatoes and avocado , which reminds me of the tuna & advocado over romaine.
And now that we can get spinach again, it will be my base again instead of the others.
Oh, yes, when asperagus is in season, that makes a wonderful addition . . .
But the chicken and pineapple sandwiches are good too .
but I digress from salads . . . (Flame grilled Foster Farms chicken only, no growth hormones or antibiotic feed)

I think there is a good chance that the "greens" you are eating were actually grown here in America.
What a funny question though! I don't know if you are a comedian or if you just have zero powers of observation or if you suffer from the malady of socialism to the extent that your minds reasoning capabilities have atrophied.
Regardless, you are funny!

Yes, we do. However, because it's much more expensive to eat fresh fruits and vegetables than many other things, the common selections somewhat sparse. Many families serve corn or green beans as a side dish with meals, or carrots, because they're inexpensive.

I've sometimes seen a small 'Produce' section in their huge supermarkets full of processed foods. All the items of salad and veg were perfect, fresh and totally tasteless. After a week I was gagging for a nice green salad.

Do you mean on tv? Or are you watching that satellite video and expecting to see people hurrying from their car to their house eating a salad?
American television rarely shows people actually eating anything. Nor using the restroom, nor dressed in sweats. Nor dying from an STD.
We like our greens, especially slathered in bacon grease.

Yes we have salads and vegetables.
It would appear your questions are designed to stir animosity between Americans and Brits. Given they're posted in Politics, it seems fair to assume you're simply opposed to the war. Good luck with that!

Well I have vegetables and salad most everyday so I'm not sure where you're looking and yes I am an american and yes I do live in the USA. So I guess technically you'd have to say they're here wouldn't you.

Salad?. I don't know. But vegetables?. A lot. Many of them just came back from fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Do I understand your question correctly?. I'm confused because why is your question posted in the Politics category?.
