I had this debate back at school. I say Elmo's a boy but my friend was convinced Elmo's a girl. I'm interested in what everyone else thinks (we asked tons of people at school and it was about 50/50)

Elmo is a boy. My brother has a Sesame Street Video, and it gets played constantly at our house, Ive had to watch it millions of times and i caught that Elmo is refered to as a "he" in the video. Im pretty sure Elmo is of the male gender anyways since he appears more on boys toddler clothes much more than girls.

Elmo is representative of a four year old boy, but much more verbal. Elmo is a male name, after Saint Elmo.

Elmo is masculine, therefore he is a boy.
A lot of feminine names end in "a" or some in "y".
So yes Elmo is a boy
