I've found loads of temp work through Office Angels.
But, if you put your CV on www.reed.co.uk and www.monster.co.uk, prospective employers can view your CV online. I had about 40 hits within 3 days. And I've got both my last 2 jobs by using Monster.

It depends what sort of work you are looking for really. If it's office work I used this website

www.secsinthecity.co.uk

it was brilliant and I got a new job within a month of applying.

I agree with Lilac, Reed's website is a good place to start as well as Office angels, Brook street are pretty good at finding work too.
