I would like to know how this started. I am blonde, attend college and have a 3.8 GPA. I also have common sense. When one blond makes a mistake, they blame the hair. I have known plenty of ditzy brunettes.

I think people just already have a perception that all blonde's are dumb, so they do pay more attention to them when their being dumb or make mistakes. I think it's silly to say that because of someones hair color that they are dumb.

I have known lot's of people who are really dumb who are also not blond. I have also known some blonds who were quite intelligent. It's just a popular stereotype.

when it comes to personality and brain power, hair color makes no differance.

I am a blonde, and I am not dumb. I am eductaed, and I have common sense. I am a teacher (high school),and some of my students have ragged me about being a blonde. I think that people assume we are stupid due to a stigma....

No, I just think most people are stupid to begin with lol. And since nowadays, everybody and their mother is dying their hair blonde, it just seems that way.

I think that it applies just to those who dye it, not those who are naturally blonde. It's just all the bleach seeping into their brains!
