I guess quite a few people who actually have experienced war to defend this country have different opinions than some of you would like.
Are they undermining our troops? Are they traitors? How do you balance in your head their patriotic service to the nation with their affiliation with an anti-war movement that the people who think for you say is seditious? Are they both?

Norm: I would pay to see you walk up to a Vietnam Vet marching for peace and call him a traitor. Must be nice to be able to decide who is loyal and who isn't from the comfort of your recliner.

They think liberals hate the country because liberals want out of Iraq

They don't remember Bush---going AWOL during Vietnam
(not even 1 person stepped forward to say he was at the base)
or Cheney who dodged the draft during Vietnam

They would rather try to smear a real war hero Kerry than admit these guys are liars whocan talk the talk but chickened out when it came to walking the walk

I don't think they hate their country-people can have differing opinions, always will. I served from '72 to '80, and am of the opinion that the war is justified.when you go from being outspoken and protesting with peaceful assembly, to crossing the line with false accusations, and acting in ways which aid our enemies, then you become a traitor.

Please! They don't hate their country! They hate those in power who screw them and get them sent home in body bags over oil!

Undermining our troops? They work for us!

Traitors? Most were in Iraq or in Vietnam like I was! We fought for this country! We did the fighting, you believe like Bush that Americans have no right to free speech!

Exactly what have you done except Cut Veteran's Hospitals 2 times, the one in 2006 $100 BILLION, but found money to give a tax-cuts to the rich for the 3rd time in this FY budget submitted by Bush!!

Traitors? Look in the mirror! How can you even begin to defend tax cuts for the rich while our kids are getting their legs and arms blown off, coming home to hospitals infested with cockroaches and rats??

You Republicans, for the most part, have a real strange view of right and wrong!

Yes they are. Their past service doesn't make them less traitors.

Remember-Benedict Arnold was a war hero before he was a traitor. What is he remembered as?

I would like to think that veterans would be for peace and not war. We fight because we have to and not because it's fun.
