The "Neo-Conservative" movement, i.e. Cheney, Rumsfeld etc are what have high jacked this country.

Bush is merely their instrument. Make no mistake that if Bush picks someone other than Cheney seven years ago, things don't go this bad.

Bush apologists have no real response to the ballooning debt, intrusive govt other than to say 9/11.

If the terrorist's goal was to change this country in a fundamental way and take away the freedoms and independence that make us what we are, then I say they couldn't possibly do it without inside help.

The Bush administration has been helping them on that count more than they can imagine.

Well it seems that a large majority wants something from the government and the politicians try to satisfy their needs to keep themselves elected. What needs to happen is a to create a tax revolution. That would put pressure on the politicians to reduce spending and thus less government.

As for Bush do you remember the US was attacked? Does not appear so......maybe that answers you second question.

Because the religious conservatives don't want less intrusive government. They want the government in your bedroom and on your TV and in your church.

The fiscal conservatives are much more libertarian, and that portion of the Republican Party has been silenced.

Bush is not a liberal. He is not smart enough to be President, he made nice nice to the fundamentalists, and used his brother to win the election in FL.

He amply demonstarted a Conservative trait of something for very little. Taking violently, what you can't have through reason. Hope those two examples helped you understand how he fooled you.

Seems strange to me, they say they want smaller government then they make 1000's of new laws to regulate morality and build tons of new government buildings across the country

Liberals never behaved like republicans do. Bush is no liberal, he is a radical extremist out of touch with American values.

America tends to vote upon emotion rather than platform.

If you have a guy that says he is pro family, pro life and pro American dream. It is a vote on morality, rather than qualification, platform and accomplishments as a politician.

Same thing that happened to Liberals who were once compassionate, generous people.

Times change.
