Bit of an attitude, eh?
Well, here's a response from a man who's been happily married for 36 years to an intelligent, sexy woman.
First of all, NOBODY should even consider marriage unless 1) they have the emotional maturity necessary to live harmoniously with another human being, and 2) they take at least a year to get to know each other, especially regarding the most important issues - sexual, political, spiritual, career, etc.
People who lack a sense of compromise, who are basically self-centered, who lack sympathy and forgiveness will NEVER be happy with another person, ever.
So, no...you probably shouldn't get married.
That being said, have a great life.
Mine is.
I'm married to a woman who is a gourmet cook, an experienced book keeper, who loves sex, who's a great companion, and who will stand by me though the worst of times.

Wow. Doubtful you'll ever have to worry about it because you're obviously "all about me", and marriage requires personal sacrifice without losing yourself completely. It's obviously not for you, and that's ok - but I'm going on 25 years of marriage and I enjoy knowing that there is somebody on earth who loves me even when I don't deserve it, I enjoy being a wife, and I used to think being a mother was the most wonderful experience on earth, but now that I'm a grandmother, it is as close to Heaven on earth as it gets! We've been through better AND worse over the past 25 years, and I'm still looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. Love is VERY real - the problem is, most people don't understand that love is a CHOICE, NOT a feeling. 1 Corinthians 13. Bottom line - marriage is what you make it! (And honey, if you ever change your mind, boy are YOU going to need one hell of a woman to make it work!)

Good Lord you sound so bitter! What happened in your life to make you feel this way?
Marriage is a wonderful, beautiful state of two people spending their lives together. I love waking up and going to bed with my husband. I love the fact that I have someone I can talk to, discuss things with, laugh with, enjoy life with. Yes, we argue, but I like that, too. If you truly find the right person, you WANT to spend all your time with them. You don't want anyone else, and you don't think of marriage as being so terrible. The purpose of life is not "to get married and have kids". The purpose of life is to be happy within yourself, and make a difference. You can do this without kids or a spouse, but life is just so much better when you have someone to share it with, someone you love deeply and someone you know loves you back.
If you truly never want to get married and have kids, that's fine, but you just sound so bitter and I doubt if you will ever really be happy.

Obviously you have never met that one person that you just can't live without. (You are young so you have lots of time to bump into her)
The only real purpose to be on earth is to procreate, and raise your child to have a better life than yours. Think about it that is the only thing you will leave behind (your genes) If you don't biologically procreate, once you die... that is it.. you are wiped off the face of the earth.
Happy wives don't get fat, only the ones that are married to jerks.

Honey,
You are still young right now. I pray that when you become older & wiser you will find the true love that is especially just for you and you will get rid of all of this nonscence that you have in your mind right now. Because if you grow up believing this way you are going to end up becoming a very lonely man one day.
Good Luck
&
God Bless!
