Actually those are inaccurate. The suicide rate is about 50% for those who don't seek treatment, but for those who do they typically gain 5 years. The chemical imbalance is only for a few years, after that they have the operation or castration, which means no more testosterone so the dosage can be lowered to a safer level. Also, after getting hormones and surgery the suicidal tendicies drop down to the normal range of people. The life span of a transsexual male to female who has had the proper treatment can expect a comparable life expectancy to other women, although much of it depends on genetics, diet and exercise.

i've never heard of such a thing! the only reason i can think of for any suicide might be borne of pressure from "friends" or "family" which cause so much confusion and rejection at such a close and intimate level the person might feel they've let everyone down and can't face them any longer. chemical imbalances are simply overcome with time and dosage. check your "facts".

There hasn't been enough research done to determine an accurate life expectancy of MtF transsexuals.
