I just saw one that started out with "18 weeks and bloody mucus." Don't these people have obstetricians?

Face it, bodily fluids can be gross, but we should never feel embarrassed about how the body works. I think a lot of people hit the Internet for answers to arm themselves with knowledge because medical professionals are unavailable in most cases. If you can't get a response from your physician, try ask-a-nurse or drop by your pharmacy.

You should never be embarrassed/ashamed to talk about anything that comes out of your body. Being "squeamish" about such things leads to health problems. Dialogue is very healthy. Doctors are obviously important, but you can't go to them with every little question that crosses your mind. You need to become an informed consumer of your health care.
