How is this for a thesis?
Thesis: The Constitution and the Geneva Convention have been violated by the Patriot Act and how American troops are treating "suspected" terrorists.

I know it needs to be rephrased. Any help on that also?

Is this thesis too broad? Could it be argued in 3 pages?

Yes, I fear it's too broad. Choose one or the other. But you are attempting to tie together two separate topics. And on that point alone, you'd either REALLY have to sell well your point or risk getting a huge failing grade. I can tell you from a conservative perspective and a teacher, that I have asked several times here, for others to present their case about the Patriot Act and a violation of the U.S. Constitution, siting article numbers, ordinances, codes, etc.. No one has yet to do it. All I've ever received are impassioned disertations of garbage. I want facts. Sell me. Convince me that what you say is true. Quote vaiable, verifiable resources. Change my mind.

Thats too much for 3 pages, The Constitution has been violated by the Patriot Act. Or else, How American troops are treating "suspected" terrorists. Either one should be an easy 3 page paper. I could do it in 1 hour if I wanted to.

I don't think you have to change anything. No it is not too broad. And I could be argued in 3 pages.

in your thesis you are supposed to include the points you are going to argue like:
America's economy is going bad because of the war in Iraq, global warming, and immigration.
I used three reasons so those would be my three points I would argue so you have to add your reasons.
