Lot depends on what you mean by 'favour me' and 'insults me'. It might be possible that when you were scoring good you were never really mindful of what instructions he/she is giving you. But because you have started to score low these days, you have become very sensitive about anything that he/she says. You feel about things going wrong but you dont seem to change them. That's making him/her scream at you( what your teacher knows is that YOU HAVE NOT BEEN OBEYING HER/HIM FROM LONG TIME) Best way to find out is on what occasions does she/he insults you or screams at you. If all occasions has something to do ONLY with your scores NOTHING else, then problem lies with your teacher. Ask your parents to communicate your problem to him/her. Its in your best interest to shed the burden of low scores and get back to your studies. Concentrate and study hard and be good student just as you were before!

Hey, since you say that she used to favor you when you were getting good marks, she really wants you to come up in life. She doesn't really have to bother if one student of her's is getting good marks or not. May be there is something you need to do to get back into your form and get good marks. Not to worry too much about how the teacher is treating you, if you are a champ, everybody will treat you well and there won't be a scope to insult you at all.

Try having a talk with your teacher, maybe she has some problems herself and is taking it out on you. We do that at times and don't even realize it. No student should be talked to in such a way. Take these comments to her and leave them on her desk! MAYBE, it will wake her up. By the way, what happened to your good marks? You aren't playing around and goofing off a lot are you? If so, could be your problem.

Obviously, she is mistaking you for something which you have done and haven't realised the gravity of your folly...or it may be that she has been misinformed about you by someone if she is the gullible type...my advice is that you be as courteous and nice and polite with her as possible...do all her homework...beat her in politeness...thats the gentleman's way! All the best!!

.Sounds typical for a schoolteacher. Often the 'marks' you get are linked closely to your parents social status. This has ben my expierence.
