Both ideologies are identical, except that the Libs don't share the Neo-Con's thirst for global hegemony enforced through a police-state apparatus. It's time for a third party around here.

One ideology believes in recklessly spending government money to solve problems, the liberal side believes in balanced budgets and surpluses.

And few libs beat the war drum as ferociously (for other people's kids, mind you) than neo-cons.

Good grief. This whole question and most of the answers are just liberal spamming.

Not that some conservatives don't do the same.

Now that is where I see the two factions agreeing...the rest of your diatribe, and most of the answers are logically null.

I disagree with your entire premise. Liberals and social Conservatives (neo-cons) couldn't be on more opposite poles.

Liberals want to legislate immorality. Neocons want to legislate more morality. If you think we do not legislate morality, what is theft, murder, perjury, extortion, and rape? Just to name a few.
