Yes it would be possible, nearly took my own out by accident a few times ( not literally, but it sure hurts getting poked in the eye with a long fingernail) I haven't said it too anyone, and if i did and meant it, i would have too be in a situation where perhaps my life was in danger or that of someone i loved. If it was my only weapon and it meant saving myself or a loved one , no telling what i might do.

well, theoretically you can. but you have to puncture ...err...rip the eyelid first because the eye has this defensive reflex: when something gets too close to it at a certain speed, the eyelids close.
and they were just saying it to show off. or in anger... i said that more than a couple of times...but i know better... karma... so don't worry...they aren't gonna do it literally:D they're just saying stuff lest they should shut up.

Of course its possible, and no I've never heard of it happining, thank God. You need to switch pubs, go somewhere you don't have to mix with such aggressive people. I would hope that I would be able to construct a sentence without my brain dying and subjecting me to educational shut down so causing me to talk s**t.

There's no way I could. I'm a nail biter I'm afraid (disgusting habit, I know). However, sometimes I wear those false ones and they're rock hard, so in that case, yes, it probably could be done.
