My doctor done one at the very beginning of my pregnancy and I didn't have one until after I had my child. He said if you have to many exams it can cause infections! And I also had a planned c-section so I didnt have one at the end. He told me if there was problem he would do one but everything was fine! Good Luck!

You should start having them again around 34-36 weeks to check for dilation. Doing an internal exam will not hurt the baby or cause an infection, but there is no reason to do another one until the end unless you are at risk for premature delivery or your water breaks early. Good Luck.

you should have already had one. They usually do one at your first visit and then again at the end unless there may be a problem or you have complaints that concern him. I had more than usual because I have high risk pregnancies but I dont see why you havent had one already if you've been going to the doctor. But I'm sure he will do one soon since your so far along now. Good luck to you and congrats I would ask your doctor why you havent had one

Well, you should have already had one at around 10 weeks. Then they usually do not do another one until around 34 weeks, unless they feel the need to otherwise. But if everything is "okay" you should get one at 10 weeks (or the first visit with your doctor) then one at around 34-36 weeks!!

They usually don't begin pelvic exams until you're full term (37 weeks) but mine began them when I was 35 weeks...and they can be pretty uncomfortable, just a heads up.

Mine didn't start until 34 weeks, but I was having a lot of braxton hicks. Hoping that real labor was just around the corner.
