I think u should have a discussion with ur boss abt ur job..
I think if ur boss want u to come back, he should pay u extra money..coz u work overtime..
u r a human,u're not a machine that can work forever..even machines need to rest..
u should tell ur boss that maybe ur boss should ask e customer that prefer u to do their makeover to make an appointment with u first, and ur boss also should inform ur workin hours to e customers..
so that it won't be tiring for u to come back...
hope i help u;D

I am a Stylist too... so I understand the NEED for you and how some Clients get ALL your Attention. I also understand your boss wanting to book you instead of the Crappy Stylist b/c looks better on the Salon when someone better does the hair! One think I am worried about is.... WHY do you work 12 hours a DAY? and What time does your Salon Close?
I think you ask her out for a drink (Soda) and talk about how you need to have your time away from the Salon! Just b/c you work Close doesn't mean you owe your LIFE to the Salon unless you are the Manager!
I would say trying to work 10 hours 4 days a week... and then telling them that if your clients can't make it within that 10 hours... they can come back tomorrow!
G'Luck! But YES talk to her!

Oh yeah! If you put in your time at work, there should be no reason to go back. A human can only work so much before he wears himself or herself out. You should make it clear to your boss that when you clock out that you won't be in until the next day. They can't force you to work that many hours as well, for its not lawful. Remember its just a job, not worth getting killed over.

as a beautician myself, i know exactly what you mean, but just think about this, if by chance you end up opening your own salon, you will already have clients that will come to your salon for the simple reason that it's you and they know how you work. i understand you are tired but if you really want to talk to your boss, ask her to pay you over time(if he/she isn't already) at least then it will be worth it.

With the hours you work your in titled to a break I don't know what state your in but surely they have laws on how much time off a person has to have. I would talk to your boss about your concerns and maybe you could talk to the people that request you and tell them that you would be happy to help them if they schedule their apointment when you are actually working. I'm sure they would understand

sounds like you're over worked. you should tell your clients that if they want you to do their makeovers they should set up an appointment with you. try to manage your time more effectively by yourself, then if it keeps happening you might want to speak with your boss.

Short answer: Don't answer the phone if you don't want to be bothered at home. Your time is just that, and tell the boss what you are doing. "Don't bother me at home."
