I don't actually have an answer for you, but you DO mean the song sung on Opportunity Knocks in the 70's? Now I'm going mental trying remember the kid's name!

this is the only site i can find which refers to the sheet music for mother of mine by neil reid... unfortunately it states it is currently out of stock.... however there is an email link to the supplier, perhaps they could assist.
