Actually it's not right after or def not before it's on our period is the best time because thtaa's when your body has released the unferilised egg you dropped during ovulation so for most women it is during that time you would not have an egg at all

Many women have varying cycles and these cycles can and do change. Have you ever noticed that women who live in the same house have a tendency to get their periods at the same time? A woman's cycle can cange based on a number of things including the frequent prescence of another female of menstrating age. That being said, there is no fool proof safe time to have sex. Also, the timeframe of the whole cycle can be very different for female to female. By this, I mean that even though she may menstrate every 28 days, that does not mean that her cycle(from ovulation to menstration) is 28 days. It could be 15-50 but it starts over every 28 days. Think of people running around a track, every 28 minutes you send a person from the starting line (they all run at roughly the same speed) so it doesn't matter how long it takes them to get to the finish, after the first one, someone should cross the finish line every 28 minutes whether it takes them three minutes from start to finish or 3 days from start to finish.
The menstration cycle is similar, although an egg is released every 28 days, the cycle is not dependant on the completion of the egg to menstration for another egg to be released. One will be every 28 days or so regardles of whether menstration happens or not.
What this means in regards to your question is that there is no way to tell for sure or come up with a good time to have sex without getting pregnant. This is why there are ovulation tests, even if the doctors can give you a rough estimate as to when you may be ovulating, it is just an estimate and someone who is trying to get pregnant is still advised to use a test to tell if they are ovulating.
You would be smart, if you are talking about having sex, but don't want to get pregnant to us a rubber. They also prevent STDs so there is that added benefits which is HUGE. When you sleep with someone, you are also sleeping with everyone they slept with and everyone those people slept with and so on(germwise of course, otherwise it woudl have to be a really big bed...lol).

Well the only time the girl can not get pregnant is after she has ovulated.. but that is the trick.. do you know for sure when that time is.. most likely the answer is No. So with that you both should be protected at all times. She needs to be on some type of birth control as well you where a condom. There are many different types of birth control out there.. pills, foams, sponges, diaphrams, you name it.. so good luck and protect!!

If you are that concerned - then abstinence is the best.
Otherwise, use a condom - and you should be fine.
There is no way to know exactly when you are ovulating and the sperm can survive in the uterus for about 5 days. Therefore, just protect yourself

The night after you bought some condoms.

without protection then I would have to say the first 3 days after your period, because after that sperm can live inside the body hiding and waiting for you to ovulate.

It's called a condom. Use one that way you don't get an STD or the risk of pregnancy.

NEVER -- you should ALWAYS use two forms of birth control if you don't want to get pregnant. Women aren't clocks, you can't always predict ovulation.
