Congruent Triangles have the same shape and size

That means all three legs on one triangle is the same for all three legs on the other triangle

if the legs are 3, 4, 5 on one triangle the other triangle legs must be 3, 4, 5.

and A1, B1, C1 are the legs of the first triangle
and A2, B2, C2 are the legs of the secondtriangle

Given: A1=A2 and B1=B2

Then C1 = SQRT (A1^2 + B1^2)

and by substituion

Then C1 = SQRT (A2^2 + B2^2)

and C2 = SQRT (A2^2 + B2^2)

So by substitution

C1=C2
