No. It's a mockumentary filmed in the style of a reality TV/ documentary. It was made in the 4:3 TV ratio rather than widescreen. All completely fake I am afraid, but where beauty pageants are concerned and the lengths individual parents and competitors will go to win, who knows where the truth ends and begins - that's what writer/producer Lona Williams (herself a former Minnesota beauty pageant contestant) claims - she reckons it has all happened in some pageant somewhere!!!
Worth watching for Kirsten Dunst alone! :-)

I dont think so, is more of a spoof taking on the ridiculous attitudes of beauty pagent competitors and their mothers and amplifying it...

no its made up, but i'm sure the one upmanship does go on and i think jealousy may have caused the odd pagent death
