I think my son's took a little over a week. His belly button came out perfectly because we cleaned it with the alcohol pads regularly as instructed and only gave him sponge baths until it fell off. Below are some excellent resources to further answer your question. Best of luck and Congratulations if you have a new little one or are expecting one!

I'd say about 10 days or so. My son's fell off and I didn't even know it. He was sleeping and my sister was over. I looked down at the carpet and saw something that looked like a piece of beef jerky (totally not kidding). I picked it up and realized it was the cord stump! Funny. Anyway, the doctor also told me that the way the cord is clamped has nothing to do with whether the baby has an innie or an outie. She said even belly button shape is determined by genetics. Just thought I'd share that fun little fact.

It all depends, The cord falls off when it is completly dry. my son took 3 weeks some take a week. Something that will help is let your baby be in just a diaper for an hour or so a day. the air will dry it and apply rubbing alcohol at each diaper change.

About 10 days, keep applying the rubbing aolchol 3 times a day, and never pull at the cord. The earliest any of my kids cords fell off was 5 days, and the latest was 15 days.

It really depends. My daughter's fell off when she was 6 days old. Don't pick at it, but make sure you dab it with a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip every time you change baby's diaper. The alcohol will help to dry out the cord faster. The faster it dries up, the faster it falls off.

It takes about 2 weeks for the cord to fall off. Just make sure to rub it with rubbing alcohol at every diaper change and that will help it dry out.

about a week or two. Sometimes though not all the cord will come off- DONT PICK IT OFF... my neice has a piece of hers on for 2 years after she was born! My duaghter is now 3 weeks old and lost hers at about 10 days- but still has a small piece on her belly button and dr said just leave it- it will eventually come off- but whatever you do- dont pick it off.
