I've heard of people doing it before. Or screaming into a pillow. I think it helps get the anger out without hurting anyone or anything.

I think everyone has their own method of venting out anger. Its good to vent it out, or else it'll just build inside. That could make u sick! Punching pillows is one of the many techniques.

I know lots of people who do stuff like going to the arcade to vent their anger on machines or just go somewhere deserted & scream at the top of their lungs or go kick boxing or something! lol. It helps alot. Its a great way to cool down :)

I rarely get pissed off , so I don't know ..I just do not let things get to me ...I have the same temperament in all situations , I can cuss someone out ,and still be smiling ....I refuse to allow stress, and other problems consume me ...If my girlfriend of ten years came to my home ,and said "it is not working " I would say OK , and I would move out because this house is almost paid for ,and it is easier for me to start over than for her ,and the kids ..She could come home ,and tell be she wrecked the new car , all I say is did you wreck it right , such as total it out , which she did ..I said well way to go ..good one ....nothing of material possessions
or the everyday problems of life will ever get to me ..I deal with it ,and move on...But HEY if you gotta hit something go for it , I normally hit someone when it is deserved ..but that is all.. it was justifiable and not out of anger....

sure, if it works, than go with it. It's better than letting the anger push you to drinking too much, eating too much, or kicking your dog, or anything that's potentially hurtful to yourself or others. And the good thing about pillows is that they can't punch back, and they are inexpensisve to replace if you beat the stuffing out of them!

Punching pillows works for people, I usually just go out to a lake and skip rocks as hard as I can. It helps me, cause I can think and stuff.

I scream into a pillow sometimes! It's better to punch a pillow than a wall!

This is very healthy for your anger. Just punch it, then when you are done lie down on your bed and try to think about nothing at all. That is the best way to become calm.

I think that is a lot better than stomping your feet, screaming, or throwing things. Sounds like you have a wonderful way to get rid of anger.

Maybe anger is too strong of a word. Maybe upset is a better word in my case...

Well, for me, it lessens the intensity of my anger. Not so much get rid of it...

Talking it out usually defuses it to get over any anger, or whatever is upsetting me.

Hey, as long as your not punching people. Maybe you need to get your anger checked out if it is really bad. Good luck and God bless.
