A very sore, tired, bloated, beached whale.

I was actually sent to the hospital 8 weeks early. Turns out that I had been in labor for two days without even realizing it. I was pretty tired my back hurt a lot and my stomach would sometimes feel kind of tight but not painful. I just thought that my back was going to start hurting more since I had been gaining more and was getting closer. Nope Wrong! I was in labor. My daughter is now 7 months old and healthy as can be.

My daughter was born 5 weeks early so I wasn't even thinking I was in labor, but I had a ton of energy for about 3 days, all I wanted to do was clean, eat and sleep! I had backaches come and go but no contractions (that I could feel), not even Braxton Hicks. I was a high risk pregnancy and I had to go in for a fetal stress test and they noticed I was having contractions (which I still couldn't feel) and when they checked my cervix I was already dilated to a 5! So needless to say, I didn't really feel much different except for the extra energy.

You generally have LOTS of energy right before labor starts- I woke up wanting to clean everything. With the last I went to work, cleaned my office area, came home scrubbed walls, etc. Most of the women I took care of when they were in labor said the same thing-

I think its the decrease in hormones.

I actually felt pretty good, both times, the only thing that changed for me is that they had moved down into the birth chamber and I felt like everything was going to fall out.
