Iam a professional vocalist of 42 years it took me until i was 30 years of age to get over my nerves i did it by being a compere in a music club i started singing in bands when i was 18 years im now 60 still singing solo these days.using karaoke backing and teaching, i suggest you go along to a karaoke bar and get used to being part of a regular crowd making friends to singwith you will eventually get confidence singing in front of a crowd look over the peoples heads while singing untill you feel more confident to look at the crowd and sing to them

Ive been a singer for quite a few bands in my time. Confidence comes from ability. Simple as that. If you rehearse hard and know the lyrics thats a massive step in the right direction.

Oh, and remember this too. The people you are singing to CANT do it..

The best and the cheapest solution to learn how to sing is doing it over the internet. You should check out Aaron Anastasi's singing video lessons here: ( http://learnhowtosing.kyma.info ) The videos are very easy to follow and to my surprise extremely helpful even for advanced singers. For beginners I would have to say this is a gold mine. I was able to improve my singing, voice tone and range in just under two weeks and I am an advanced musician, been doing this for the last 7 years. I wanted to go to a singing teacher but that would have cost me too much. Internet is the best solution! You can easily learn how to sing online.

If you want to know a very good vocal coach try to visit https://tr.im/oGVQG an online vocal coaching tutorial. Everything, ranging from breathing fundamentals, vocalizing exercises, techniques on singing high and low notes, how to not go off-key/out of tune/off-sync, musicianship and music theory, proper diction and articulation, and a lot more are covered, all in our native language. It can be quite technical in nature, but it really helps since it covers the musical aspect of singing deeply and not just concentrates on how to impress people with your vocal range, riffs and runs and other cliches that do not necessarily make one a complete vocalist.

be happy with your style. Don't try to copy anyone...sing to friends who will love you and won't be harsh with comments etc.

Most of all just blast it out in the car.....people will have to listen!!!
