Make sure you understand the material like the back of your hand so you can abridge it, break it down to the most important parts to remember. Try putting things in you own words sometimes instead of as written. Read it several times slowly and try to recall it. Do that until you don't need to look at what you read. Then repeat it several more times. Writing it down will also help commit it to memory. Some people use pneumonics, associating new information with information you already know. You can use visuals, acronyms, rhymes etc. http://library.thinkquest.org/C0110291/tricks/mnemonics/index.php Other than that, relying on your memory more, good sleep and maybe Ginko Biloba are things that'll help.

I had reading probs from having been switched from Left-handed to Right in my 1st Grade. My speech went to pieces, memory was kaput and it was hard for me to get my work done--let alone the agony of passing tests. In Jr HS, I stumbled on a method that served me well all the way though college! I'd do my regular work but for tests, I'd cram until 1 a.m. or so; set the alarm for about 3 or 4; fall sound asleep. When the alarm rang, I was in a semi-sleep state; read the material over once and fell back to sleep. I always over-slept; rushed to school and then on tests, I regurgitated almost verbatim the answers! I had to work on Q's that required reasoning/analysis, but because I had the facts down pat, that worked pretty well, too.---You might try it--it's well worth trying....That might be called "autogenic".

You should find a method that works for you for remembering what you study. You have to pay more attention also to what you are studying and review it every day.
