we once had someone put ATF fluid in the brake reservoir of several of our fleet vehicles. Had they been caught, they were facing over 20 counts of attempted murder for tampering with a vehicle. Not only could you face civil penalties, you would also face criminal charges to include destruction of property all the way up to attempted murder or manslaughter if someone is hurt or wrecks as a result of your actions. Remember, everyone is on camera a minimum of 5 times a day. If you could be considered a suspect, you will in all likely hood be investigated and there are ways to trace substances back to individuals. I will not divulge all the methods used by investigators because I really think you should reconsider. Oh BTW, asking how to tamper with a vehicle on a public forum that is monitored by law enforcement officials daily probably on a computer at your home or office, not real smart.

Sugar is a myth.....it was proven ineffective in disabling a car on the tv show Myth Busters.
most items such as water or other liquids would only disable a car.
The only way to ruin an engine would to remove the oil or water and let it over heat until the engine cracks.

Here in the UK, the farmers us an acid to preserve an animal feed called silage. If this acid is put into a diesel engine, the result is catastrophic with the entire fuel system needing replacement.
Not sure of the results if it is put into a petrol engine.
Hope this is of use.

What ruins the engine? Well, for starters, you probably shouldn't be asking this question, and most shouldn't provide answers. But...

Pour antifreeze into the oil. It will "milk" the oil, and eventually tear it up through the inside.

sugar will do it if you don't figure it out immediately, If you catch it when still basically in the tank, it is a drainaige of the gase and having it professionally boiled out. then reassemble. This is the best case, and the cost of the tank cleaning is not cheap...

May I strongly suggest locking gas caps, metal inside not plastic.

Is there anyone out there that is wondering why this information is being asked? Why do you want to riun an engine?
