I don't subscribe to the idea that particular foods or herbs increase breast milk supply. The only thing that increases supply is nursing and pumping. Continue to nurse the child as often as he wants and for as long as he wants. As long as the baby is gaining weight and growing at the rate that's right for him, he's fine and you're making enough breast milk. Continue to try to get plenty of rest, stay relaxed -- because stress can negatively impact nursing overall -- and drink plenty of good for you fluids. Good Luck!

There really isn't one particular food that is going to make you produce more breast milk. Just make sure you are eating right and getting plenty of fluids. Also if your baby doesn't eat every three hours try pumping every three hours for 10-15minutes and then putting it in the refrigerator or freezer that way you have a chance to get a head of your babies schedule. Keep in mind that its not how long you pump at a time its how often that improves the amount of breast milk.

Alot of food. Keep yourself hydrated. You need to consume 2500 Calories a day. You can still take prenatals.
Drink PLEANTY of milk Have yogurt. Beans.. Keep yourself calcified. Breastfeeding robs you of calcium. Also ask your DR. About Vitamin D drops for your baby. Mothers milk doesnt provide the Vit. D that is needed for baby and they could get Rickets.
Eat fresh Fruit, Veggies. Stay away from Fish and Seafood. They have high amounts of Mercury.
Best way to keep your milk coming is Pumping and freezing the milk after each time you nurse.

Things that may help:
Beer in small quantities is good for increasing breastmilk. Just 1 beer.
Also keep your protien intake up, this means: meat, fish, eggs.
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day or a pint of water everytime you breastfeed.
And last, if you have an expressor express milk everytime you breastfeed. afterwards. This will increase your milk suppy. You only need to do this for 10-15 minutes.
Hope this helps.

There isn't a particular food that makes more breast milk but you should drink plenty of liquids. Eat healthy, takes your vitamins and one of the key things is don't get stressed out. I know its hard because that was my problem when I breast fed my son which didn’t work for too long.
Check out La Leche League website, they can help with any breast feeding questions you may have. http://www.lalecheleague.org/nb.html
