i came out to my mom last night and she didnt cry or anythin she just said if i go to hell its my choice. Dont get me wrong, i used to be a die hard christian i talked to Jesus everyday, i felt so close secure and loved by Him. then i sort of "fell away" and now i feel that i am a lesbian because of it. I never had these feelings before until i STOPPED reading the Bible. Do you think there is a correlation?

God promised that He will never forsake us. Because it is a choice we make ourselves, we are the ones who leave Him. If He left us, sin would not be our fault.

Yes there is. It's in the bible just like you said. Leave God, and he will leave you.
However, you can be forgiven. It's a serious mistake you cannot repeat, but you can be forgiven and love as you did.
Consider it an experience and leave it behind.
Below is a website that can help if you will use it.

There is a poem about taking a walk with Jesus and looking back and seeing only one set of footprints. The person asks why when they were feeling down and at thier lowest, Jesus abandoned them. His reply, At those point, I carried you.

The Christian teachings are supposed to be about love (love thy neighbor), forgiveness and grace. Nothing we can do will change the love that God feels for us. Jesus forgave criminals on the cross, simply because they believed that he was there to save them. He did say to go and sin no more, but being true to yourself is not a sin, and God already knows the true you. While various denominations make it a point to cry SIN to everyone who is not of thier denomination, the bible is pretty clear on salvation. By grace alone, not anything we do or don't do. We are expected, as human beings, to treat one another as we would like to be treated in return. Given the treatment that your mother has given you, if you can forgive her, then which of you is the better person?

The nice thing about Jesus is that he loves us, always and forever. He interceeds for us and by his sacrifice, gives ALL of us the grace to be children of God. That's the message that the Christians still haven't understood. Each of us is different, each of us views things in a different light. Regardless of your birth, your education, your background, your sexual orientation, your wealth, all you need is belief to secure grace. Anyone can cast stones and many die hard christians are the first to do so. But if they want to point out bible passages to justify thier stance, then where are the tassels and no pork and no mixing of fabrics in clothes and all the rest of the prohibitions.

Love, Grace and Truth.

There is no correlation what so ever between your sexuality and how much or how little you read the bible. You didn't become a lesbian because you "fell away" any more than you will become straight because you "return". You are who you are inside and Jesus loves you the same without regard to your sexuality. You don't have to worry sweetheart it isn't up to your mom who gets into heaven and who goes to hell. I am sure your mom loves you and wants you to be happy. Let her see that you are happy and that will help her deal with your coming out.

Don't get ME wrong!! sounds like mom is a real barrel of laughs. i'm agnostic and all that entails. i firmly believe Jesus Christ, and all that entails, was inplanted upon us during our early development as a civilization, fairly well documented as early as 700 BC. it was a kind of control measure by others more greedy than ourselves. if you believe you've become a lesbian, and not felt you were a lesbian all along, it did not happen as a result of your stopping your reading of the Bible. there is no foundation for this co-relation or the same thing would happen to many, many other ppl.

open your eyes and mind to other histories besides only Christianity, you might be surprised.

Your sexuality is not caused by your religious situation. Some people's faith grows and shrinks over the years for many christians. There is such a thing as coincidence. If you want to become stronger in your faith then do that. You'll likely find that even with a strong connection to your divine you're still attracted to women and still loved by your god.

As a mom of two of the most wonderful gay sons, I love them unconditionally! We will never know the depth of God's love for us & if He loves us this much & created us then who are we to judge anyone. LOVE ONE ANOTHER is not a suggestion BUT a commandment. What parent would send their child to hell? God will NOT send any of His creation to hell. This is just a way for whoever put the bible together to keep people in line, their line! I live a good life, am raising excellent children & they have every right to be & exist however God created them. A line in the bible states that He did everything for the good of those who love Him. I wasn't there when the decision was made what to put & include in the bible. All I know is God loves me & my children & He has done a VERY good job with them. They are NOT going to hell & neither are you. Live a good life, service people, give love & respect & you will get it back in return. Don't let gay be your focus, let life be your focus. You are exactly like every other person on the face of the earth... a HUMAN BEING. Blessings to you & I will pray for your mother to have the heart & love of God towards her child. When I look at all my children I don't see straight or gay, I only see my child & a WONDERFUL CREATION!

My family would have killed me!!!!or asked me to forget their adress...

You have to start reading the Bible again ..this relationships betwwen woman-woman , man to man are a temptation coming from satan.Try to see a woman like a sister , not like a man ...and try to discover how fascinating the men are ...go to a church(I am ortodox Christian and they are very moral)and find a Christian an marry him..If I will be a single girl again ..that is what I would do..I would try to seduce a Christian ...You must become a true Christian. A true Christian fears God ..and tries hard not to sin...I would ask God to take me immediately from the Earth then let me sin...God is our Father..and Master..Try to find moral people to be friend with ..you can find them at church ..

I think you are drowning in a sea of guilt which could lead to lots of self-destructive behavior. You are what you are. I believe your homosexuality can be compatible with your christian beliefs. You can still be kind and forgiving and helpful and true. In fact, the gay world has many walking-wounded who need a patient ear and a soft shoulder to cry on. Maybe if you can continue to show this kindness to others, you might learn to be kind and forgiving toward yourself.

I just don't see the problem!!!
It is NO BODY'S business what happens in someone else's bed!!!
I don't get it.
Who is it hurting?
I'm not a religious person...Mom cheated on Dad with the Priest. So I find little value in religion.
Be a good person...volunteer,do charity work.
Stop tormenting yourself.
