Yes it is possible, and it will eventually be done. Eventually computers will be powerful enough that a human brain simulator could be modeled and emulated in memory.

Also, things like Neural Networks and the current work that MIT has done in the field of artificial intelligence point to an intelligent machine being very possible.

Maybe... but i think that the machines would want to take over and kill us to protect themselves long before they got curious....


maybe if we could get a machine with the curiosity of a cat... then it would get itself killed and we wouldn't have to worry about it.
