When will American Idol have their special featuring songs by the Beatles?

I'm not sure if it's planned for the future, but they should have them for their special featuring songs!!! I just love hearing the Beatles on TV and they should do that!!! I know that they use the "American" theme, but Simon is on American Idol as a judge and he's British. They should just bend the rule and do a special with Beatles songs. If they don't want to, maybe we should write a petition and tell them that's what the American people want...

That would be an excellent idea if they did that! What songs do you think they should use? If I had to name a few, for starters I'd pick "Let It Be", "Hey Jude" and "Golden Slumbers". They seem like Idol-ish type songs. Then again, maybe it's morbid curiosity on my part...I'm curious to hear what a Beatles song would sound like if it was belted out by an Idol finalist.

hopefully never...those good songs butchered by the guys this season?...and most of the girls have too powerful of voices to do Beatles songs well

well.....the beatles weren't american....they seem to revolve around american musicians when they pick a "theme" night....
