I made a personal website and I’m in the process of submitting my site to search engines. Can I submit individual pages or just the index/home page?

They only want you to submit the home page and then their crawlers will find the rest. It makes it easier for them to find your other pages if you include a sitemap on your site.

Most directories and search engines will only allow you to submit the index page.

There are several great sites with lists of directories to submit your site to. I've provided a link to one of the best lists around. You'll find reviews and tips on each directory.

Be sure to check out the list of directories to avoid!!!

To be honest you should ensure that your site gets some good quality links from other sites to ensure that it gets indexed by the search enignes. This will save you having to go back and reinclude the site through the submission service. This will also allow you to get better rankings in the search engines so that your site can get traffic.

hope that helps
